A scar, or cicatrix in medical terminology, is a mark left in the skin by the healing of a wound, burnt or surgical incision in which the normal functional tissue (skin) is replaced by connective tissue (scar).

General Wound Healing Process.
The wound healing process is comprised of three overlapping phases: inflammation, proliferation, and maturation. During the inflammatory phase, blood vessels contract and red blood cells clot the wound while white blood cells collect in the wound to fight infection.
First, cells known as phagocytes swarm to the damaged area in an effort to clean up any contaminants and protect the site from infection. Then ,during the proliferate phase, special skin cells migrate into the wound beneath the crust (scab) and grow. Granulation tissue fills the wound and new capillaries form to ensure a blood supply to the new tissue, giving the tissue its red color and granular texture. The wound begins to contract and the granulation tissue is soon covered with a layer of epithelial tissue (new skin cells), pulling the sides of the wound together. During the maturation phase, also known as the remodeling phase, new collagen is formed to create a scar. The wound slowly regains strength as the scar reaches its final size and shape. Scar maturation usually takes at least a year. A scar is only about 80% as strong as the original skin.
Collagen is a fibrous protein which gives the new scar its characteristic bumpy look. With recovery, the collagen is broken down and the scar flattens and shrinks.
Collagen and scarring are the glue by which the human body heals wounds. Without the formation of deep scars, almost all skin wounds would split apart. Gland or surface tissue has little or no binding capability; therefore, scar tissue is important to all skin-surgery results. When sewing or closing wounds, most surgeons prefer to create a deep, hidden, strong scar for permanent binding because the deep scar takes the pressure off the surface tissues. The surface scar can then be minimized by proper tension and stitch techniques. Any surgery or wounding of the skin results in some scar formation. The key to good surgical results is how easily the final scar can be seen or how well it is hidden in pre-existing wrinkle lines or natural anatomy lines.
Etiology. After a large, deep wound has occurred to the skin, both skin cells and connective tissue cells (fibroblasts) begin multiplying to repair the damage. The fibroblasts form a framework upon which the skin cells can migrate into and fill in the wound. It is the balance between the rate of replication of fibroblasts versus skin cells that is important here. If the fibroblasts replicate too quickly, they can form a dense network that is not as easily penetrated by the skin cells and that results in a large scar. If the skin cells keep up with the fibroblasts, then little scar tissue is formed and the skin has a more normal appearance after the wound has healed. Here is where my secretion plays an important role. Yes, because the allantoin it contains has been termed a cell proliferant, an epithelization stimulant that speeds up the formation of new cells.
Treatment. What can be done to minimize scar formation?
In order for a wound to heal properly several ingredients are needed. First of all, the body needs protein to make new tissue. My secretions are exactly such proteins. Glycosaminoglycans and Proteoglycnas which help the body to regenerate skin cells. Enzymes that dissolve damaged tissues. And Antioxidants.
What is unique about the proteins in my secretions is their high bio-availability! allowing them to be quickly recognized by the body as useful ingredients instead of rejecting them as extraneous cells that must be eliminated -as is the case with most chemicals. This is the reason why BIOSKINCARE works effectively to minimize scar tissue formation as well as for the reversing of existing scar tissue.
Secondly, besides protein, your skin needs adequate levels of certain vitamins to repair damaged tissue. Thus it is not surprising to learn that those are also contained in the snail's secretions: vitamin A, vitamin C & vitamin E. Not to mention again the natural antibiotics that help prevent the spread of infection within connective tissues.
All the active ingredients in the snail's secretion and of course in BIOSKINCARE are natural, and naturally the results in helping the body to heal speak for themselves! Unlike harsh chemical and physical processing typically used to produce most protein supplements, for they unfortunately denature (destroy) the natural configuration of proteins yielding something that is not completely absorbed and utilized by the human body.
Pitted, ice pick acne scars, keloids and hypertrophic scarring
The snail's secretion contain Glycolic Acid in a low proportion and balanced with the skin repair ingredients. Glycolic acid is a molecule small enough to be able to penetrate the dead outer layer of the skin and to keep the hair follicles open, carrying into them the skin repair bio-available ingredients contained in the snail's secretions, namely allantoin, collagen, elastin, proteins and vitamins.
Once inside the follicle, allantoin will trigger the formation of new elastic cells, collagen and pigment, filling in cavities of pitted and ice pick acne scars. It will also shrink and replace the old fibrous and broken collagen cells. Soon new 'invisible' hair, known as lanugo, will come through the restored hair follicles in those areas.
Plus, the topical application on your skin of BIOSKINCARE seems to be a potent message to your body, telling it is being properly taken care off and does not need to over-react forming those sometimes abnormally thick scar tissues called keloid and hypertrophic scarring.
In a nutshell: BIOSKINCARE helps your skin regenerate itself! (And mine too! says Hervi). It is also anti-microbial, thereby helping to prevent skin infections. Their is nothing like it! And you can use it for treating a wide variety of skin problems - wounds, burns, sunburns, rashes, cracked and dry skin. It works great on post-surgical scars. It has been used on age lines, age spots, abrasions, acne, athlete's foot, boils, chilblains, diabetic sores, diaper rash, infected nails, insect bites/stings, skin allergies, skin ulcers and stretch marks with incredible results. It is just excellent for helping the skin to repair itself. Wounds heal with minimal scarring. It also helps shrink old scars.
Don't you think that you would be much better off if you keep BIOSKINCARE in every first aid cabinet for those unexpected accidents? Not to mention again you can use it to treat acne infection, for the longer acne is allowed to persist the greater the chance of permanent scarring.
