Make Your Own Gentle Facial Products Using Natural Ingredients
Skin care is a vital part in our overall health, and when our skin becomes damaged or injured we also become more susceptible to infection and disease. However, since traditional skin care products can be harsh, especially for sensitive and dry skin, we sometimes end up creating a skin care routine that endangers our skin instead of caring for it.
Traditional cleanser and toners are usually made with harmful chemicals that can strip away your body's natural oils leaving your skin vulnerable to foreign matter. Traditional moisturizers may contain alcohol and mineral oil which are known to dry out skin and possibly clog open pores, leading to acne breakouts.
Fortunately, there are other options to treating skin problems such as skin wrinkles and hyperpigmentation and that is treating your skin problems with natural ingredients, the majority of which can be found in your own home. In fact, you can actually create natural facial products with products that are sitting in your refrigerator or even your backyard. If you think this is something you'd like to try out, here are a few fun skin care recipes you might like.
Natural Cleansers
There are literally dozens of recipes for making natural cleansers at home. None of these contain any processed ingredients. Therefore, if you are not allergic to any of the ingredients, you should not have any adverse effect to these natural products.
You can make a cleanser using yogurt and oatmeal. First, make a paste with these two ingredients and apply it to your face with a massaging motion. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
Cooked vegetables can be pureed and used as a mild cleanser. The water that was used to cook the vegetables can be used to make the paste. Once you get the consistency you're looking for you can apply the paste to your skin, then rinse off with warm water, and finally, pat your skin dry before applying a natural moisturizer.
Vegetable oil is another natural cleanser. This solution is ideal for treating dry or mature skin and can sometimes be used in place of most traditional cold creams.
If you would like to use olive oil, try mixing 1 part olive oil with 1 part honey and two parts distilled water. Apply the mixture to your skin and let it set for a few minutes. Once you're ready to remove the mixture from your face, simply wipe it off with a damp, warm cloth.
Natural Exfoliators
Exfoliation can be rough on sensitive and dry skin. However, natural ingredients can help without provoking any damage.
One gentle option is using milk and milk products such as buttermilk and cream. Dairy products help provide hydration as they remove debris and dead skin cells.
If you want to make your own exfoliators you can use mashed bananas or mix together grapefruit and oatmeal. In each case, the mixture should form a paste which is applied to your skin. Let the mixture set for a few minutes and then wipe off with a moist washcloth.
Natural Anti Aging Cream
Believe it or not, your cupboard can be hiding some great facial products for wrinkles. For example, you can mix 1/2 tablespoon of ground nutmeg with 1 tablespoon of honey to form a paste. Apply the mixture to your skin, let set for 20 minutes, and remove with warm water and a washcloth. All these ingredients came from your cupboard and can safely be used on your skin.
Natural skin care is one of the best ways to treat your skin, but even though homemade recipes are fun, they don't always reach the level of effectiveness that can be achieved using higher concentrations of certain natural ingredients. In other words, 1 drop of natural oil isn't as effective as 1000 drops. This is why natural skin care creams such as BIOBALM are so important. This amazing natural wrinkle cream contains just the right amount of Helix Aspersa Muller extract and strawberry seed oil so that your body can maintain itself moisturized while it getting the help it needs to effectively combat aging.
